BRPD investigating armed robbery of hotel

BATON ROUGE - Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Constitution Avenue hotel on Sunday night in Baton Rouge.

Witnesses told investigators that a man entered the front doors of the business at around 8:30 p.m. and placed a bank bag on the front counter. He then pulled a handgun on the front desk employee and demanded money from the register. The man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as being between 5'10" and 6'0" tall with a skinny build and blond colored eyebrows. He was wearing a pink hooded jacket and brown cargo shorts with black and white basketball shoes.

No injuries were reported in connection with the armed robbery.
