Bossier City man arrested for 13-month-old son's death
BOSSIER CITY - Bossier City Police have arrested a man in the death of his 13-month-old son.
In custody is 21-year-old Cory Hannon, of Bossier City, on a charge of second-degree murder.
Police say emergency personnel were called to the Fountain Lakes Apartments at about 8:30 a.m. Monday by a relative who found the child lying in his crib not breathing. The child was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation conducted by the police department's Violent Crimes Unit and Bossier Parish Coroner's Office found the child died as the result of blunt force trauma allegedly sustained while in his father's care.
Hannon is being held at the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility. It was unknown if he has an attorney who could comment on the case.
