Police identify victim of shooting found dead in parking lot

BATON ROUGE - Police released the name of a woman who was found dead in a parking lot in Baton Rouge on Thursday morning.

Investigators confirmed the body of Jemina Williams, 34, of Baton Rouge was found next to a small white truck in the parking area of an auto parts store in the 2600 block of North Street. Detectives said Williams suffered what appeared to be several gunshot wounds and was found face down with her pants pulled down.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to police. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the BRPD Violent Crimes Unit (225) 389-4869.
