Bicyclist in critical condition after being struck in Plaquemine
PLAQUEMINE - Authorities say a man riding a bicycle was struck in Iberville Parish, leaving him in critical condition.
The crash was reported sometime Thursday morning. According to Plaquemine police, the man was riding in the center lane of Edmund Drive when he was struck by a vehicle attempting to merge lanes. Police say there were no warning lights on the bike.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
