Baby and sitter gone missing
VIOLET, La. - Authorities are looking for a 5-week-old boy and the 47-year-old woman who was babysitting him Friday.
St. Bernard Parish sheriff's spokesman Steve Cannizaro says he is preparing a statement about the disappearance of Sarah Harris of Violet and little Tristan Cayden Douglas.
Violet is about 12 miles outside New Orleans. Police there say the baby's mother told them Friday that Harris never returned home after telling her she was driving to a convenience store in New Orleans.
New Orleans police say she told them that call was about 12:20 p.m. After that, she said, her calls to Harris went straight to voicemail.
Harris's vehicle is described as a black four-door 2014 Dodge Charger with Louisiana license plate YCR602.
