BATON ROUGE - A 63-year-old Avondale woman is the lucky holder of the sole winning ticket in the Nov. 14 $475,000 Louisiana Lotto jackpot.
Cecilia M. Randel purchased the ticket at RaceTrac #645 on Highway 90 in Avondale, just a few blocks from her home. The store received a one-time selling bonus of $4,750, which is 1 percent of the jackpot prize.
Randel, who plays Lotto regularly, claimed the Nov. 14 jackpot prize Tuesday with her husband and daughter at lottery headquarters in Baton Rouge. Lottery officials announced the win in a news release Thursday.
Officials say Randel received $332,500 after federal and state taxes were withheld.
