Ascension, Livingston Parish waterways open Thursday after previous high water concern
ASCENSION PARISH - After closing waterways to recreational boating, officials in Livingston and Ascension announced the closure will be lifted.
Waterways reopen Thursday morning at 6, authorities said in an email.
Previously, officials in Ascension and Livingston Parishes closed all inland waterways due to hazardous conditions. Officials attributed the decision to high water and debris.
