Area of Livingston Parish under boil water advisory
LIVINGSTON PARISH - A water boil advisory has been issued for the village of Albany and nearby areas in Livingston Parish after a fire hydrant was run over by a vehicle.
According to Albany Mayor Gene Glascock, the boil advisory will be in effect until the Albany Water Works Department system is completely flushed out and tested.
The areas under the boil advisory include Hwy. 441 south of I-12, and all of Hwy. 42, according to Glascock. The advisory does not affect Springfield, LA, Glascock said.
