Ambulance knocked over during 911 call
BATON ROUGE - Emergency responders in Baton Rouge said an ambulance was hit and knocked on its side by another vehicle during a 911 call Wednesday.
Baton Rouge EMS said two medics responded to the call near Scenic and Blount. While they were in the area their ambulance was hit by a larger truck and knocked on its side.
EMS said they did not have a patient in the ambulance when the wreck happened.
The medics and truck driver are alright, according to Baton Rouge EMS. Another ambulance was dispatched to handle the 911 call.

Police say no one was ticketed. According to Baton Rouge Police, the ambulance was passing through the intersection with lights and sirens on, but the truck had the right of way and did not see the ambulance in time to stop.
