Amber Alert canceled, Lincoln Parish boy is found safe
RUSTON - State police canceled an Amber Alert issued for an 8-year-old Lincoln Parish boy, and the suspect wanted in his disappearance has been arrested.
Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies arrested 23-year-old Sommer Hattaway, of Farmerville, Monday morning.
Troopers say Dakota Knox was found safe in Ouachita Parish late Sunday night.
Ruston police says Hattaway allegedly abducted Knox when she stole an SUV in which the boy was sleeping early Sunday morning.
The SUV was parked at the Lincoln Motel in Ruston when it was stolen.
Hattaway has been booked with theft of a motor vehicle and kidnapping.
Online jail records do not list an attorney for Hattaway.
