Agents search rural pharmacy

GROSSE TETE - Federal agents raided a pharmacy in Iberville Parish Tuesday, but mystery surrounds why they were there.

Sources told WBRZ News 2, numerous state agencies assisted in a search warrant for records and computers related to a fraud investigation. The FDA was part of the operation.

A WBRZ photographer at the Doc-Your-Dose pharmacy on Highway 77 took pictures of an assemblage of law enforcement officers, their vehicles surrounding the small structure that sits along the quiet bayou that runs through the small town.

Investigators left with boxes marked evidence but It was not clear what was removed from the business.

Calls to the agencies spearheading the raid, were not returned as of this post.
