Some residents in Louisiana became big winners in the national Powerball drawing overnight.
The Louisiana Lottery Corporation says that a $2 million winning ticket was sold at a Tiger Mart in Lake Arthur. The winner matched five out of five numbers, as well as the Power Play.
A second winner purchased a $200,000 ticket from Miller's Mart on West Club Deluxe Road in Hammond. That winner matched four of the five numbers, the Power Ball and the Power Play.
An additional $200,000 ticket was sold in Jonesboro, and several $50,000 winners were reported in Covington, Hammond, Thibodaux, Kentwood, Metairie, Slidell, and Shreveport.
