2 Lafayette men jailed after pair found dead in burned cars
LAFAYETTE - Two Lafayette men have been arrested for the murder of two people found dead Tuesday in separate burned cars.
Joshua Willis, 31, was arrested Saturday on two counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted sexual battery.
Joseph O. Sylvester, 21, was arrested on two counts of first degree murder, two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle and unauthorized use of a financial access card.
KLFY-TV reports both are being held in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
Ashley Nichole Metz, 23, was found dead in a car in Scott. Metz's boyfriend, Brouklynn Walter Hill, 22, was found dead in a car in Carencro.
Officials didn't immediately explain why the men might have killed the couple. It's unclear whether they have lawyers. Court appearances are set Tuesday.
