18-wheeler crash, fire closes I-10 East in St. Martin Parish Sunday morning
BUTTE LA ROSE - An 18-wheeler fire caused I-10 East to shut down near Butte La Rose in St. Martin Parish Sunday morning.
According to Louisiana State Police, troopers were called to the crash around 7:00 a.m. at milepost 121. Troopers and emergency personnel are on scene continuing the investigation and cleanup.
The interstate was opened 6 hours later around 1:00 p.m. Congestion is nearing 10 miles in length, according to DOTD.
