14-year-old severely wounded in Baton Rouge gunfire
BATON ROUGE - Police say a 14-year-old is in critical condition Saturday after someone shot at the car he was sitting in Friday night.
Baton Rouge Police said the teenager and one other victim were struck by gunfire while they were sitting in a car on North 17th Street around 10:10 p.m. Friday. Investigators said the 20-year-old driver sustained minor injuries, but the 14-year-old passenger was hit in the head and chest.
Neighbors told News 2 that they heard 4 gunshots.
BRPD said the shooting is still under an investigation and the motive for the shooting is currently unknown.
