SHREVEPORT - Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting that left one man dead at a Shreveport motel.
Cpl. Breck Scott said in a news release that officers were called to the Moonrider Inn near the Shreveport Regional Airport early Wednesday morning for a report of shots fired.
Scott says officers found 31-year-old Alexander James suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. James was taken to University Health Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
Scott says James' gun was also found at the scene with an empty extended magazine, suggesting a possible shootout. He says detectives are reviewing surveillance footage.
Scott says preliminary evidence suggests James and the shooter knew each other and were arguing at the time of the shooting.
