1 dead, 5 hurt after tree falls on Los Angeles wedding party
WHITTIER - Southern California fire officials say one person died and five people were injured after a large eucalyptus tree fell down onto a wedding party taking pictures at a park.
Several people were trapped after the tree toppled Saturday in Whittier at Penn Park.
Officials say four of the injured suffered scrapes and bruises and one had moderate injuries.
Witnesses described hearing a loud crack and seeing people run from the area.
No other details were immediately available.
