NEW ORLEANS - Police in New Orleans say they have arrested a woman who initially told officers she shot a man who tried to force his way into her apartment.
26-year-old Martynenez Grigsby was booked in connection with the shooting of a 20-year-old man on Monday afternoon at a Poydras Street apartment complex.
Police did not identify the victim but say he was listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
Investigators say Grigsby refused to cooperate during their investigation and was booked on one count of aggravated battery. They did not provide additional information on the incident.
It was not immediately clear whether Grigsby has an attorney.
