WBR, Iberville Parish crack down on warrants
PLAQUEMINE - The Plaquemine Police Department served around 200 warrants Friday morning netting around 25 arrests, according to Plaquemine Police Assistant Chief Kenny Payne.
Payne says the department is clearing outstanding warrants for anything from unpaid traffic violations to felonies.
The Addis Police Department, Brusly Police, West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office and Iberville Sheriff's Office assisted in the warrant roundup.
Payne says the agencies will gather more information on people that have warrants and serve them again in February.
News 2's Troy Gaulden went along for the roundup, and will have an inside look starting at noon.
