Wall of Shame
BATON ROUGE - Circle K gas stations in the LSU area have put up pictures of people managers accuse of stealing from the stores.
Pictures of the accused criminals have been plastered on front windows, creating a "wall of shame." A few of the photos show alleged criminals walking out front doors, arms filled with cases of beer they did not pay for.
Some customers believe the pictures put the spotlight on potential thieves.
"It's putting them on spot. It's putting them right on spot and showing them, 'hey look, if you're going to come in here and steal, we're gonna put your picture up,'" said Harold Johnson.
Johnson also stressed that posting the crimes for all to see may have an impact on kids.
"What are the kids supposed to grow up and see? To see grown people stealing out here. It doesn't make any sense," said Johnson. "They need to put a stop to it."
