Video game incubator helps get Baton Rouge noticed

BATON ROUGE - Smashing buttons on a video game controller brings back powerful memories for some, but actually making games which leave such a lasting impression is easier said than done.

That's why developer Diego Rivera turned to the Level Up Lab at Louisiana Technology Park to turn his ideas for educational and mobile games into a virtual reality.

"I wouldn't even imagine not being in this program. The goal is to be one of the main studios providing educational games in Louisiana, and maybe the nation when I get bigger. Little steps first," Rivera said.

Level Up was mentioned in the August issue of Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the reasons why Baton Rouge is one of the best cities in the country for small companies and up-and-coming investors.  The artice also mentions the LSU AgCenter Food Incubator.

Level Up provides industry standard software and hardware, like a sound booth and a motion capture system, as well as marketing and testing tools.
