Veterans on Parade in West Baton Rouge
PORT ALLEN - They're saluting real Louisiana heroes this weekend in Port Allen. It's the 10th annual Veterans on Parade. Port Allen Mayor Richard Lee and Garry Hubble joined us on 2une In this morning with your invitation.
When the parade first started, Port Allen was one of the few cities in Louisiana to salute veterans on Veterans' Day, but now more places across the state are doing the same. This year's parade is Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in downtown Port Allen. For more information call (225)344-2920 or visit the West Baton Rouge Parish website.
Veterans on Parade is done in conjuction with the Fill the Float challenge. They're collecting supplies to sned to our military overseas. Here's a list of drop-off locations:
