Veterans' families hosted for tree lighting
BATON ROUGE - Governor Bobby Jindal and First Lady Supriya Jindal hosted the families of Louisiana veterans and prisoners of war at the Governor's Mansion for their annual Christmas tree lighting Monday.
According to the governor's office the lighting ceremony included several families of Gold and Blue Star Moms, families of ex-POWs, families of Women Veterans of Louisiana, and families of Louisiana Army National Guardsmen who are currently deployed or about to be deployed overseas.
The children's choir from St. Elizabeth School in Paincourtville also provided music for the lighting ceremony.
