Two arrested with rolling meth lab
BATON ROUGE - State Police made additional arrests this evening after a wreck in Baton Rouge involving a rolling meth lab which landed two other people in jail.
It happened around 3 a.m. on Old Jefferson, about a mile from Woodlawn High School. State Police said the car hit a utility pole when it wrecked and officers arrested two people at the scene.
The road was shut down for hours as HazMat crews cleaned up the chemicals used to make meth, which were scattered when the vehicle wrecked.
"As we explored even further, we noticed that the gentleman that we arrested was arrested on similar charges our of Tennessee," said Col. Mike Edmonson with Louisiana State Police.
This evening, State Police said more arrests were made in connection with the investigation. News 2 will have more information on those arrests tonight at 10.
