Triple shooting stuns neighbors
BATON ROUGE- One man is dead and two more injured after a triple shooting in the Scotlandville area. It happened early Thursday morning on Central Road near Chinn Street.
Police say Demond Sanford, 36, was found shot to death in a car. The two other men shot, ran a block away to Rosenwald Road.
Neighbors in the area say they're shocked the violence crept so close to them.
"We don't have that kind of stuff going on in this neighborhood and on this street, because it's basically the country, if we didn't have the interstate behind us, this is the country, this is the country of North Baton Rouge and we don't have that kind of stuff," said Kimberly Thomas who heard the shots as she was leaving for work.
"From the action with them shooting, my truck would've been hit and they probably would've shot at me so I couldn't identify them," said Thomas.
Police are still working to identify the shooter and a motive. If you have information that could help contact the Baton Rouge Police Department.
