Tips to help kids 'rock their uniforms' this fall
BATON ROUGE - With the start of school just around the corner, fashion expert Candra Eloise dropped by News 2 at 4 to give parents some advice on how to let their kids express themselves while staying within school uniform rules.
Candra said knowing how to accessorize is key to standing out in a school uniform and makes it easy to show personality while staying within your child's school uniform regulations.
Both boys and girls can hint at their personal style through clever accessory choices like cool socks, bracelets, belts and shoes. Of course, the functional backpack also offers a great chance to experiment within the confines of a school uniform ensemble.
Girls who wear bows or ribbons can get an extra coolness boost by taking advantage of the wide range of patterns and styles available.
For more on uniform fashion for this fall, Candra will host the "Rock Your Uniform" event at The Mall of Louisiana tomorrow where models will highlight some of the techniques talked about in studio.
The school uniform show will kick off at noon tomorrow at Center Court in the mall with entertainment and refreshments provided by Gap Kids.
