Tigers land in Tampa, kick off Bowl Week
The LSU Tiger football team had a busy first day to Bowl Week.
Les Miles and his Tigers departed Baton Rouge this morning, landing in Tampa Bay shortly before noon. From there it was a quick stop at the team hotel and then onto their first practice of the week at the University of Tampa.
The LSU Tiger football team joined their Outback Bowl opponent, the Iowa Hawkeyes at a welcoming dinner put on by the restaurant in the evening.
The teams combined to chow down on nearly 5,000 pounds of steak, ribs, chicken and the sides in the signature dinner of the week.
LSU will be back at practice on Friday morning before enjoying their afternoon at a local amusement park, Busch Gardens.
