Three Jetson juvenile escapees caught and arrested
KAHULUI, Hawaii - Maui police have identified the man found dead on a beach as a 57-year-old originally from Baton Rouge, La.
An autopsy reveals William George Sublett died of severe head trauma. Police Lt. Wayne Ibarra said Wednesday the manner of death is still under investigation.
Police launched a murder investigation after a woman found him dead on the beach near a wastewater treatment plant in Kahului on Christmas.
A preliminary investigation shows he suffered multiple trauma to the head and that there were no signs of metal fragments.
Ibarra says Sublett was working on Maui but it was not clear how long he was living on the island.
