Thanksgiving Dining Out
BATON ROUGE - Hundred of people dine out for Thanksgiving, one family said they're resting before Small Business Saturday.
Juban's cooked for 750 people in their restaurant for the Thanksgiving holiday. Many families dined without the stress of cooking and cleaning. All nine dining rooms were filled with families celebrating Thanksgiving. One family says they own a family-run bakery called The Kitchen Shop, in Grand Coteau. They've been working around the clock to get ready for Small Business Saturday and just wanted to relax with family for their Thanksgiving feast. The owner of the shop, Nancy Brewer says it all comes down to one thing, spending time with their families, no matter who does the cooking.
"I'm going to put in a lot of work over the next three days and I have been working really hard for quite a while and my family that helps me as well. It's just gotten to be too difficult to get ready for my customers and put on the kind of good food that we want to eat," said Nancy Brewer.
Brewer and her family say they're thankful to everyone who is working for this holiday, giving them a chance to slow down during their busiest time of the year.
