SU gives kids an appreciation for math, science
BATON ROUGE - Kids from all over Louisiana are getting exposed to educational seminars, workshops and games at Southern University this weekend.
The Southern Agriculture Youth Exposition is going on and kids are excited to learn more about math, science, and agriculture.
"I love science, and being here knowing that I love science, I think that I will get to know more about it," said Garrinecia Singleton.
Some of the kids who've attended the expo in the past have gone on to bigger and better things in their educational careers.
"There are some in medical school with terminal degrees, so it makes you feel really good," said youth development specialist Dr. Wanda Burke.
The expo has been around since 1981. Saturday is the last day for this year's summer session.
