Sports2-a-Days Previews: St. Thomas Aquinas & St. John
The St. John Eagles and St. Thomas Aquinas high school football teams are starting from two different points, each with their minds on the same thing, reaching the playoffs.
The Eagles are starting over from a disappointing 2012 season where they finished with two wins and seven losses.
Assistant Coach Crickett Crockett is assuming the head coaching duties after seven years on staff, and he's excited about the number of starters coming back especially on the offensive line.
The Falcons of St. Thomas Aquinas are looking to take that next step to becoming a premiere team after falling in the first round of the playoffs last season.
Head Coach John White has nine starters back on offense, and the offensive line will also be a source of stability for the Falcons as they return four of the five starters on the line from last years 5-5 team.
With a twenty man senior class and thirteen total starters back, the Falcons hope to compete for the 7-2A district title.
