Southern first spring practice
BATON ROUGE - The Southern Jaguars got back on the football field for the first time since winning the SWAC Championship in December.
The new look for the Jags was obvious from the very start, beginning with Southern's signal caller.
Dray Joseph was no longer in the huddle, after the all-time school passing leader finished his elgibility on top with a title.
Instead, the two main quarterbacks in contention this spring, according to head coach Dawson Odums, Francis Kanneh and Deonte Shorts took the reigns for the first time on the bluff.
