Some LSU students move into renovated dorms early
BATON ROUGE - While workers put the finishing touches on East Laville Hall today, some LSU students got an early start on moving in.
More than 600 students will call the renovated dorm home this fall. Official LSU move-in day is set for tomorrow, but some students in the honors program and involved in extracurricular activities such as band were allowed in today.
"We have rush recruitment going on now," said incoming freshman Michael Edmonson. "So everyone's getting excited for that. We want to make sure they get everything moved in."
The renovation to the dorm cost $14 million and took two years to complete. LSU says they're a decade in to a 25-year project to renovate all of the dorms.
