Sewer problems getting fix?
PRAIRIEVILLE - An Ascension Parish woman has been dealing with a stinky situation in her front yard.
Mary Fernandez said raw sewage has poured from her sewer lines into her yard for at least two weeks now.
"It's disgusting, I'm sick, I used to have friends over here, I used to have a picnic table we used to sit out here and drink our beer after work, that's what us ladies did, but it's so sickening, and so disgusting that I don't have the picnic table here no more, nobody wants to come to my house, I don't want to come here no more," she said.
News 2 searched for a solution and learned the landlord is aware of the problem and already working on a fix.
"My guy told me he was gonna get out there Monday, but then the weather came badly, next thing you know, he said a good day of sunshine will dry everything up, he said he'd be out there tomorrow," said Larry Buquoi, the landlord.
Fernandez said she still plans to move.
