BATON ROUGE - Law enforcement are doing what they can to provide a fun and safe Independence Day in downtown Baton Rouge.

Security will be tight for the firework show tomorrow night hosted by WBRZ and The Advocate.

Baton Rouge Police Department said they'll be out in full force to keep you safe and troublemakers out. More than 100 officers will be on foot and on horseback.

Today, surveillance cameras also went up to monitor the thousands of people that are expected to fill the levee.

Police are taking a no-tolerance policy and are prepared to make arrests.

"We're going to do our part to keep them safe. We're doing everything we can to keep everybody safe that shows up. We need help from the crowd and the people that are coming," said Cpl. Tommy Stubbs.

The sheriffs office along with other law enforcement agencies will assist the BRPD tomorrow night.
