Saturday election results
BATON ROUGE- Voters approved two tax renewals for the public school system.
One raises a little more than $20 million for school system operations. Almost 72% of voters approved the tax.
Another raises $23 million for employee salaries and benefits. It also passed with about 72% support.
The renewals cost taxpayers about $34 per $100,000 in value to homes.
