Runway lights out at Metro Airport
BATON ROUGE - According to the Baton Rouge Metro Airport website, all flights arriving and departing appear to be on schedule, after two runways went out of commission yesterday.
One Delta flight from Atlanta was rerouted to the New Orleans airport. Passengers were provided ground transportation to Baton Rouge.
Three flights leaving Baton Rouge Sunday were cancelled, but more flights arriving in Baton Rouge saw delays, Sunday night.
The Baton Rouge airport says passengers should check with their airline for updates on if their flight will be affected.
Officials say one runway is having work done to it and a second runway has no lights. No word yet on what caused the power outage.
