Runoff set for final Livingston Parish Council seat
WATSON - There's one race left to decide the final seat for the Livingston Parish Council, and voters in the Watson area will decide between two republicans Saturday.
Voters will pick either incumbent Jim Norred or Garry "Frog" Talbert. In October, Talbert received 12 more votes than Norred taking 42 percent of the votes. Now the two will square off in a runoff to be part of a changing parish council.
Five incumbents lost to challengers across the parish last month. Three other council members decided not to seek reelection. Now Norred looks to avoid the sweep.
