Relief coming to construction area on I-10
BATON ROUGE - Construction on a stretch of interstate here is almost complete.
Right now, construction to expand the interstate shuts off a lane between the Highland and Siegen Road exits. That bottlenecks traffic especially during rush hour.
But the Department of Transportation confirms by the end of the week I-10 eastbound lanes will open completely and westbound lanes will open in a few weeks.
The projects taken more than five years to complete.
