Questions unanswered in man's roadside death
BATON ROUGE - Investigators continue searching for answers this morning after a 28-year-old man took his own life, following a high-speed chase with police.
The chase began on the campus of LSU when a pickup truck, driven by Steven Sanchez, crashed through barricades on Tower Drive, according to LSU Police.
City police and sheriff's deputies began pursuing Sanchez as he left the campus and followed him onto the interstate.
Sanchez crashed at the Essen Lane exit, after police deployed spike strips.
Police say he then killed himself at the scene with a gunshot wound to the head.
