Police: Video shows someone cleaning up evidence after North St. shooting
BATON ROUGE - Police released surveillance video Monday which they said showed someone possibly cleaning up evidence after a deadly shooting two weeks ago outside a Baton Rouge auto parts store.
Cpl. Don Coppola said Baton Rouge Police are trying to identify the person seen in the video looking around on the ground and possibly picking items up from the scene.
BRPD said 34-year-old Jemina Williams was found dead in a parking lot in the 2600 block of North Street the morning of March 26. Investigators said she was found partially clothed and with multiple gunshot wounds.
Family members told News 2's Ambria Washington Williams' body was returned to them by the coroner, so they can now start planning her funeral. She recently gave birth to a premature baby girl, who family members said will get to come home from the hospital tomorrow.
Police have not named any suspects in the case, and asked anyone with information to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (225) 389-4869.
