Police bust accused robbing crew
BATON ROUGE - Three people were arrested, accused of terrorizing a neighborhood near LSU Friday.
"It was probably the craziest moment of my life," a victim told WBRZ News 2. "It was very, very intense."
Early Friday morning, one of the suspects followed a victim to a home on E. State Street near the North Gates of LSU and asked for drugs.
The victim told the suspect to leave, but the alleged crook made his way inside the home. A roommate said the victim held a gun to the suspect's forehead and told him leave.
"The guy was just like, 'hey, hey are you going to shoot me in the house?,'"
The suspect left and the victims called police. But the suspect came back two more times; the final time with a gun of his own.
"I knew he wasn't here to rob us anymore," the victim said. "I knew he was coming to get one of us."
The victims barricaded themselves inside and the suspect left.
Moments later, LSU police arrested the suspect along with two others for multiple crimes around the area. One was for pushing a woman off of her bike and stealing her purse Monday. Another was for burglarizing a car on LSU's campus and another for a different robbery on E. State Street.
Victims identified Jacob Washington, Eric Washington and Peyton Vince for the crimes.
They are charged with burglary, robbery and assault.
"I'm happy no one had to die. I'm happy no one got shot or killed. But I'm really happy they got arrested," the victim said.
