Parts of West Baton Rouge under boil order
BATON ROUGE- The West Baton Rouge council issued a boil advisory after experiencing problems with the water supply system today.
The council issued a boil advisory after a mechanical failure caused low water pressure in the Port Allen area along highway 415 around Lafiton Lane, Rosedale Road, Court Street, Commercial Drive, Frontage Road, South Westport Drive and Souther Pacific Road.
The council urges people who experienced low pressure today in those areas to follow the boil advisory instructions.
People should boil water for one full minute in a clean container, with the minute starting after the water comes to a rolling boil.
The council says updates will be made Tuesday via Facebook and the parish's website www.wbrcouncil.org.
