BATON ROUGE- A busy parking lot, known for towing people who park and do not shop at stores surrounding the lot, is warning people about the rules in an innovative way.
The Northgate merchants have hired what they call parking friends to watch the lot.
"We are trying to make sure that students and faculty of LSU don't park here and walk off," one of the parking friends said.
They patrol the lot, which has about 41 spaces, and kindly tell people who should not be parking in the area that if they don't move they will be towed.
