Painter trial starting to wind down
BATON ROUGE- The defense has wrapped up their closing arguments in the trial of former ATC Commissioner Murphy Painter in Baton Rouge.
Prosecutors will soon have their chance to make their closing arguments, before the case goes to the jury.
Painter is accused of spying on people by illegally using state and federal databases.
This morning, the judge threw out three aggravated identity theft charges against Painter.
He still faces 29 counts of computer fraud and false statements.
