BATON ROUGE - After helping victims recover from the August floods that rocked the area in 2016, some volunteers are still around — making sure residents have a home to call their own.

Volunteers with Camp Restore Baton Rouge have worked year-round rebuilding dozens of flood-damaged homes. Those Good Samaritans coming from around the country delivering hope to those who lost everything.

"Our mission is in our name," said Caitlynn Butcher of CRBR. "We want to restore faith, hope and community."

Recently, Restore Baton Rouge helped rebuild the home of Angela Burton. She says she's overwhelmed with the results.

"It's a true blessing," Burton said. "They helped us get back into our home. It's all very touching."

Restore Baton Rouge says it's one way to help families regain a sense of normalcy.
