Oil Based Paint
This week on News 2 at 4 p.m., how 2 expert David Stringfellow shows and tells us the benefits of using oil-based paint. The product he shows in the segment is a semi-gloss oil/alkyd paint that cleans up with soap and water.
It works best for people who have an older house with an oil-based paint on your trim. If this is you, know that you can't put a latex paint over it because it will peel off. The paint he shows in the segment is oil based and comes in all types of colors. Despite its consistency it has the ease of use of a latex paint.
In the segment he shows us the tools needed to get the look you want. The paint lasts for years and will save you money by not having to repaint your house in a couple of years. One advantage about the paint is that you can clean your brush with soap and water afterwards.
