O'Neal business boom
BATON ROUGE - After four years of construction, business is finally booming at O'Neal Ln.
Work was supposed to be completed nearly two years ago. Several businesses had to close their doors as a result, but those that survived, said it is better than ever.
"When we opened up, I had about three people waiting for me to open the doors," explained Jesse Lane, a manage at LA Boilers, "I haven't seen that in years."
People who live nearby are also breathing a sigh of a relief.
"We would avoid it because it was always crazy over here with all of the traffic," Jeffrey Horner said, "If you went anywhere, it was busy pretty much anytime of the day."
The O'Neal Ln. road construction project was one of the largest ever in East Baton Rouge Parish.
