News 2 Investigation into school bus transfers gets results
WEST BATON ROUGE - A News 2 Investigation involving the transfer of children on school buses, got results.
First Student, the transportation company used by West Baton Rouge Parish Schools to transport children to and from home, admitted -during a school board meeting-- to transferring children from one bus to the other. After the WBRZ report aired, First Student modified its procedures. Students will no longer jump from one bus to another to save time.
But the bus transferring issue was just the tip of the iceberg. Other parents at the board meeting complained about the attitude of bus drivers, drivers missing routes and bullying.
First Student promised to look into all of the allegations presented.
