New look for Tiger Stadium 6 p.m.
BATON ROUGE - The local media got a preview of Tiger Stadium's south side additions project Tuesday afternoon.
The construction project, which started after the final game of the regular season, is set to finish on time in the middle of August.
Two screens, thousands of seats, a ribbon board, and a "Welcome to Death Valley" sign have all been added to the new South Side of Tiger Stadium.
"Our first approach going into this is how can we look at the premium seats and identify that need," said Senior Associate Athletics Director Eddie Nunez. "We looked at that second aspect fan enhancement how can we enhance our fan experience."
"It's something we've had individuals waiting list for years for suites and it's a testament to our Tiger fans and the passion they have for LSU football," said Nunez.
The Tigers kick off their home schedule Sept. 6 against Sam Houston State.
